WAIWAOLANI CONSISTENTLY GIVES FROM OUR HEART
Waiwaolani also believes in the importance of community support. In the past 2 years, health and other strenuous events have altered the lives of individuals dear to us. We have donated over $8500 directly to Maui families who have been affected by the wildfires in August 2023. Recently, we have donated $5000 to Moon Kine Tings - Hoomana Hale program. We have also donated to loved ones who are battling cancer and other organizations who have asked for support.
The Waiwaolani Scholarship aims to raise awareness in Hawai'i's high school students by holding a competition which requires youth to submit a photo of a native Hawaiian plant along with an essay that answers the question "Why are Native Hawaiian plants & ecosystems so important in connection to our water?" Waiwaolani awards a scholarship of $1000 to the first place winner and $500 to the second place winner.
